Arriving in Tulum in November 2026: Airport Transfers & Your First 48 Hours

A practical arrival plan for visitors landing at CUN or TQO this autumn.

Visiting Tulum between October 28 and November 11, 2026? Start with the airport printed on your ticket, your accommodation address and a realistic first-day plan. Cancun Airport (CUN) and Tulum Airport (TQO) are different pickup locations. A transfer quote should match your airport, destination, arrival time, passengers and luggage.

Why plan your arrival now?

Quintana Roo’s government announced Canadian connections to Tulum starting in late October, including Montreal, Toronto and Calgary services. These are announced schedules, not a guarantee that a particular flight will operate. Check your booking with your airline before confirming transport. The useful decision is how to get from your actual terminal to your hotel or villa, with room for everyone’s bags.

Before you book: CUN or TQO?

Copy the airport code from your confirmation rather than simply asking for “Tulum airport transport.” Send the full accommodation address as well: a property marketed as being in Tulum may be in the town, beach area or a different part of the Riviera Maya. Travel time depends on that address, traffic and arrival formalities; avoid booking a tightly timed activity immediately after landing.

  • Arrival details: airport, flight number, date and scheduled landing time.
  • Your group: adults, children and any child-seat request.
  • Luggage: number of suitcases, carry-ons and oversized equipment.
  • Destination: property name and complete address.
  • Return: tell us whether you also need a departure transfer.

Choose the vehicle around your bags

A vehicle’s passenger capacity without luggage is different from its capacity on an airport run. Share the bag count before choosing between the Kia Sorento, Toyota Hiace and Ford Transit. Ask us to confirm the suitable vehicle and final quotation for your specific route. Our private transportation page lists available services and prices in Mexican pesos.

A relaxed first 48 hours in Tulum

Arrival day: transfer to your accommodation, check in and leave the evening flexible. Immigration, luggage collection and traffic can affect your timetable. If your flight is delayed, use the agreed contact procedure rather than assuming the driver already has every update.

Your first full day: choose one main experience. The Tulum ruins and cenote private tour combines archaeology and swimming. If water is your priority, consider the two-cenote exploration. Ask about walking, steps, swimming confidence, pickup and inclusions before reserving.

The following day: leave room for your hotel, beach time or another excursion after you know how everyone feels. A private itinerary can be discussed around your group, subject to availability and site conditions.

Frequently asked arrival questions

Can I combine an airport pickup with a tour?

Ask for a specific quotation. Flight timing, luggage storage, operating hours and the group’s energy all matter. A separate tour day is often easier to plan.

Is the transfer price also the price of a guided tour?

Do not assume this. Confirm exactly what each quotation includes, any additional charges and the booking conditions. See our planning and booking FAQs.
